Summer Art Program 2016

 

It’s time to enroll in our 2 to 4-Week Intensive Summer Art Program! This program is designed for teens and young adults who are interested in personal development and preparatory art study. Students receive one-on-one attention in a creative learning environment.  In addition, students will learn to draw with confidence and have the opportunity to create portfolio pieces.

Dates:

July 5th – July 15th

July 18th – July 29th

Time:  10am to 4pm, Monday – Friday

BONUS: Students may add an additional hour for uninstructed study time.

2016 Spring Complimentary Demonstrations

Come, Learn and Enjoy!

Come and watch our instructors in action on the first day of class.  These complimentary demonstrations allow you to step inside the minds of these skilled artists and engage in conversation about the creative process and passion for art-marking.  In addition, receive information on instructors’ favorite tools, mediums and materials! No reservation required. Availability is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students currently enrolled in class have preferred seating and may be invited to draw or paint during the demo.

We are excited to offer students the opportunity to apply for our 3-Year Entertainment Art and Fine Art Degree and Certificate Programs!  For those unable to commit to 3 years of study, we offer shorter Intensive Art Tracks in our Continuing Educational Program.  Here is an outline of all our programs:

Online Live Classes Start September 8th

If you are unable to attend our on-campus classes, we invite you to take your next traditional or digital class online with our esteemed professional instructors who work for top studios such as:  Blue Sky Studios, Disney, Dreamworks, Riot Games, Universal and many more… Our online live classes are held in real-time where students are able to interact with the instructors directly.  A typical class will include: Demo, lecture, in-class exercise, critiques and homework. Fall Scholarship Deadline!

We will be giving New Student Scholarships for those students accepted into our 3-Year Fine or Entertainment Art Program and 18-Month Foundational Track for Fall 2014. Scholarships are based on both merit and need. Students must apply and submit all required admissions documents and financial application for review by July 1, 2014. Scholarships will be announced on July 15, 2014.  International students may apply.

Summer with LAAFA!

Enjoy this summer learning, developing and keeping your skills sharp with our tremendous list of skilled professional instructors!  With years of experience under their belt teaching and working in the art industry, you will find they will help you achieve your goal.  All our classes are designed to encourage beginning, intermediate, advanced and professional artists in a friendly intimate learning environment.  All studios come with natural light beaming from the rooftop, horses, easels and unlimited coffee in our break-room. We encourage you to take a look at our convenient schedule of classes that include 4, 6, 8 and 10-weeks classes.  In addition, we are also excited to bring you top visiting artists for the summer and fall.

Drawing Program for Teens and Recent Graduates

This coming July, we have a 4-week full-time intensive drawing program designed just for students who want to improve their drawing skills.  This program includes:  Anatomy, Classical Drawing, Composition, Figure Construction and Perspective.  Scholarships are available.  Students must register by June 1st.

Fall Applications for Full-time Programs

Fall is just around the corner and we encourage all students to start the application process now.  We only accept a small number of students each year and have limited spots for each of our programs.  In addition, for those who are international students or qualify for veterans benefits, you will need extra time to process your required documents.  This can take over 2 months depending on your situation.  Please feel free to reach out to our Director of Admissions for any questions or help with the admissions process.
