Academic advising enhances student learning and development.  The faculty chair and the Director of Academic Affairs at LAAFA provide students with academic advice to help create the best possible educational experience.  Academic advisement helps students with course selection, educational planning, course concerns, personal concerns, and helps to answer questions about LAAFA’s policies and procedures.  Students are also referred to other services and resources for additional support.  Students are strongly encouraged to meet with the Director of Academic Affairs at least once a quarter to review their academic progress.  Advising is required for all new students.  Students with questions about specific courses may contact the instructor or the Director of Academic Affairs.
